Named after his Irishdoodle dog, Reba, Joe Louque never imagined opening a hemp and CBD shop. And he has opened a shop with a bit of a twist! When you walk into Miss Reba’s Green House CBD shop, it is like walking into a living room. There’s Joe and Reba to greet you. The art and the plants provide a comforting feel. And Reba is happy to see you! Name a shop after a dog? Why not? Reba is an awesome friend! And by the way, just for you consideration, hemp and CBD pet products are available as well!
There is no marijuana in the shop. Part of the problem CBD businesses have is overcoming the stigma that CBD is like weed and makes you high. But it does not! I think the fact that Joe’s shop feels like a home, and Reba is there to greet you. So it is not intimidating. I think it helps people get over the stigma. After all, Louisiana law requires that CBD have less than 0.3% delta 9 THC. CBD will not make you high. Relaxed? Maybe. But no psychoactive affects.
Is CBD the new opportunity for entrepreneurs to find an open niche and access the American dream? It just may be!
